Six years after the pandemic forced a global experiment in remote work, the dust has settled on a new workplace reality. The majority of knowledge workers now operate in hybrid arrangements, splitting time between home and office. But the way companies approach hybrid work has evolved dramatically from the early improvised days.

Recent surveys indicate that approximately 65 percent of companies with more than 500 employees have adopted formal hybrid policies. Another 20 percent are fully remote, while only 15 percent require full-time office attendance. These numbers represent a permanent shift in how work gets done.
