Verodate is an independent technology publication reporting on the companies, technologies, and policy decisions that shape how the world uses software and hardware. We launched in early 2026 with the premise that tech coverage had become either too shallow (reaction pieces to press releases) or too insider (inaccessible to anyone outside Silicon Valley). We aim for the space in between: substantive, clear, and useful.
Our Mission
We publish reporting and analysis on six core beats:
- Artificial Intelligence — model releases, deployment trade-offs, research breakthroughs, and the policy debate.
- Cybersecurity — breach reporting, vulnerability analysis, and the evolving threat landscape.
- Consumer Hardware — long-term reviews of devices we actually use, not first-week hot takes.
- Science & Space — emerging research with technology implications, from quantum computing to synthetic biology.
- Business & Startups — funding rounds, earnings analysis, and the ecosystem shifts behind the headlines.
- Privacy & Policy — regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and civil-society implications.
How We Work
Our editorial process is designed to produce reporting that holds up. Every article goes through:
- A reporter's self-review using our source-verification checklist.
- A line-edit from a second editor who questions assumptions and asks for missing context.
- A final copy-edit covering style, accuracy, and clarity.
We publish slowly by technology-industry standards. We'd rather be second and correct than first and wrong.
Editorial Independence
We accept advertising to keep our journalism free to read. But our editorial team operates independently of commercial relationships. Advertisers do not review, preview, or approve articles. How We Use AI
AI tools assist with research, structural drafting, and copy-editing at Verodate. Every article is reviewed, verified, and finalized by a human editor before publication. We are transparent about this because readers deserve to know how the content they consume is produced. Editors — not AI — take responsibility for what we publish.
Revenue Model
Verodate is funded through advertising, affiliate commerce where disclosed, and reader support. We do not publish sponsored articles dressed up as editorial. We do not accept payment to feature or favorably review products. The wall between our business operations and our newsroom is a hard one.
